You can enjoy GRANDECO RESORT not only in the winter season but also in the warmer seasons. There is a hiking trail starting from the top of the gondola station that leads all the way down 6 km to scenic Lake HIBARA on a two)and)a)half hour hike. 20 minutes from the start, the trail will take you around a DEKODAIRA Marshlands. 40 minutes from there is the HYAKKAN SHIMIZU fountain where you can quench your thirst with fresh mountain water. Another 45 minutes later you will get to the NUNO TAKI Falls, which are the only waterfalls on the AZUMA River. The trail will then take you down to Lake HIBARA. The gondola lift operates from spring throughout autumn from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily. The restaurant Bunabuna at the top gondola station is open throughout the hiking season.

Sightseeing around GRANDECO
20min by car. The 3.6km sightseeing trail around GOSHIKINUMA Ponds can be coverd in approximately 1 hour 10 minutes. The volcanic substances in the water imbue the ponds with mysterious hues such as emerald green and pastel blue.
Morohashi Museum of Modern Art
15minutes by car. The Morohashi Museum of Art has a total of 394
artworks in its collection. 332 of these were created by the great Spanish
artist, Salvador Dali. The works by Dali include 19 oil and watercolor
paintings, 37 sculptures, 273 etchings and 3 other works.
Lake HIBARA Cruise
25min by car. With a circumference of 31.5km, this is the largest lake in the URABANDAI (Behind Mt.BANDAI) Region. Looking towards Mt. BANDAI from the lake, one can see a panoramic view of the part of the mountain that erupted.
30 minutes by car to the entrance of the OSHIZAWA Trekking Course. A 1 hour and 30 minute walk to the marshlands. Surrounded by expansive wetlands, you can view approximately 300 varieties of plant life throughout the season. NIKKO day lilies bloom from the end of June through early July.
30 minutes by car to the entrance of the HAPPODAI Hiking Course. A 2 hour and 30 minute hike to the peak (1816m) of Mt. BANDAI, the symbol of AIZU Region. Hikers can follow this easy trail to the summit, where they will find a for a 360 degree panoramic view.
